"Call for emergence
of a human sustainable lifestyle is not out of guilt, shame,
judgment, or sacrifice – it's about a strategic, enlightened,
reduction in use of resources, and a corresponding, deliberate
increase in efficiency, quality, equity, stewardship, trust,
and teamwork."

We
employ tested, cutting-edge, and emerging tools to
facilitate community planning and action strategies. We
integrate the building blocks of sustainable development
theory
and practice with our understanding of sustainability
science to facilitate processes of community capacity-building
and leadership development that will empower all interested
stakeholders in taking charge of their own destiny
toward planning and implementing strategies they believe
will lead to community and regional sustainability.
We help people living in the communities we serve become
successful change agents. Through
our effective facilitation and conflict resolution
methods,
we decode and de-mystify information needed
by communities, businesses, organizations, and governments
to move forward with projects and programs
intended
to achieve economic prosperity and improved
social well-being that are compatible with natural
environmental
systems. As sustainability
specialists we will collaborate with the
community to design, direct,
and facilitate an
all-inclusive, transparent public participation
process for all community members to contribute collectively
in developing a strategic plan for achieving
community
resilience and sustainability.
Many
of our projects have included or exclusively focused
upon what we refer to as our "Jump-Team" efforts
in sustainability. The jump-team approach is usually
a short-term or initial assessment of the present
situation in a community or region
of focus concerning its sustainability.
Stakeholders are consulted with regards to their
perspectives
on the resources, assets, and problems that exist
in their community. This diverse input is then directed
toward public participatory activities that define
potential solutions to key problems in the community
and action strategies that will lead the community
toward improvement and sustainability. Some of the
community projects we have facilitated in
recent years
include the following:
